Having studied Maths and Science at Glasgow University, Bill Daly graduated with honours in Bridge and Snooker.

He spent forty years away from Scotland (living mainly in France) before moving back to Glasgow in 2015 where his bestselling DCI Charlie Anderson series is set.

He was awarded the Scottish Association of Writers’ Constable Trophy for his crime writing.
